Shrinkage is a common defect, mainly the rough surface existing on the surface or inside of the product. Slight shrinkage cavities are scattered small shrinkage cavities or coarse grains at the shrinkage porosity, often near the runner, the thick part of the root of the riser, and so on. Because of the different causes of formation, steel casting manufacturers can take corresponding measures to prevent them.
The main causes of shrinkage defects include: mold temperature control is not up to standard; the thickness of the coating layer at different parts cannot be controlled properly; the product position in the mold is not designed in place; the design of the pouring riser cannot achieve the function of feeding; the pouring temperature is not properly controlled.
To prevent defects, we can start with these aspects of the rotary kiln tyre, such as improving the problem of the mold; the thickness of the coating layer and the uniform spraying are controlled, and there will be no coating accumulation; the mold is locally heated or the insulation material is locally insulated Increase the pressure device for the pouring riser; the pouring system should be designed accurately, and the appropriate temperature should be selected for pouring; the cold block should be placed in a suitable position and so on.
When manufacturing rotary kiln tyres, CAHENG prevents shrinkage defects from these aspects:
Control the mold temperature.
The thickness of the paint layer and the uniform spraying are well controlled to avoid the accumulation of paint.
The mold is locally heated or the insulation material is locally insulated.
Increase the pressure device for the pouring riser.
The pouring system should be designed accurately, and the proper temperature should be selected for pouring.
Put the cold block in the right place and so on.
