Periodic maintenance of the grinding roller can extend its service life and also make the vertical roller mill to operate efficiently. Pay particular attention to the following points:

1. Make sure the vertical roller mill runs smoothly (such as checking the height of the retaining ring, etc.). 

2. The retaining ring retains the proper height and is uniform over the entire circumference.

3. Appropriate pressure is applied to the roller by the hydraulic system.

4. Check the effectiveness of the air seal in accordance with the operating instructions for the air seal pipe.

5. When removing the entire grinding roller, the roller must be turned out of the mill together with the rocker arm. At this point you should loosen the taper-lock.

6. When assembling, pay attention to the position correctness of the opening of the taper-lock connecting the roller shaft and the upper rocker arm. The opening should be blocked by the material like rope, to make sure that the sealed gas can not go out and the dust can not get in.

7. When checking the tapered roller bearings, you can open the cover of blank cap. When re-installing the cover, replace the O-ring.

8. If you can check the tapered roller bearings only after removing the blank cap, the roller must be turned to the vertical position through the roller-rotating device. When re-installing the blank cap, replace the O-ring.
