It is reported that in 2016 the Ministry will work in accordance with the above objectives, the introduction of more than 30 specific policies. In 2016,the Ministry will start from the supply-side structural reforms, launched a series of steady industrial growth measures, including: the development of six major industry sub-sector facilities strategy of guidance, or three-year action plan; start a new round of major technical transform and upgrade project, upgrading traditional industries around the demand, the implementation of a number of major technology projects; special action undertaken to improve the supply of consumer goods to implement to increase variety, improve quality, create brand "three strategies" content; promoting green building materials, steel , to expand the use of aluminum in various fields, the implementation of new energy vehicles to promote the plan.

Minister of Industry and Miao Wei also revealed that, in order to further optimize the industrial structure, promote the continued resolve of serious excess capacity is one of the priorities of the Ministry this year. To this end, the Ministry of Development and Reform Commission is to study and formulate specific embodiment, in order to actively and steadily disposal "zombie companies"; secondly, will also promote inefficient production capacity out of energy, environmental protection, safety, production of non-compliance of the enterprises, the implementation of orderly Withdrawal capacity according to the law in accordance with regulations; third, to encourage qualified enterprises to implement cross-industry merger and reorganization; and finally, the approval will cease any form of serious excess capacity in the industry, new capacity projects.
